Crock Pot Pulled Pork
Ingredients
5lb of Pork Butt
2 liter Coke or Rootbeer (not diet)
BBQ Sauce
Onion (optional)
Preparation
Place pork butt in a crock pot and cover 3/4 of the way with either Coke or Rootbeer
Simmer covered on Low for 10 hours
Pull pork out, drain and keep liquid
Pull pork apart and put pork meat back in crock pot
Add your favorite BBQ sauce (about a good 1/2 of bottle or more)
Add a laddle or two of the drippings (with fat drained off) to the meat in the crock pot. Use more liquid for wetter meat, and less for dryer meat
Simmer on low for 2 hours.
Options
Add a couple good shakes of hot sauce to the BBQ sauce
Add a pealed, whole onion to the pulled Pork (peal the onion and place it in the center of the pulled pork as it simmers for 2 hours).
